American Airlines Adding Nonstop Service to Phoenix
American Airlines has announced plans to add a direct flight from Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport to Abilene Regional Airport beginning in early June 2026.
The City of Abilene in collaboration with the Development Corporation of Abilene are excited to share this news with Abilene and Big Country residents.
“The new non-stop service to Phoenix reflects Abilene’s continued growth and the needs of our community,” said Abilene Mayor Weldon Hurt. “As Abilene continues to attract new residents and employers, access and connectivity matter more than ever in sustaining that momentum. Expanded travel options give greater flexibility in how we live and work, while also reinforcing Abilene as a place where businesses can grow and invest with confidence.”
